The Allocation Letter / Interscope studio project

STATUS
Original in-house demonstration. No external client, live audience, platform deployment or sending results are claimed.

BRIEF
Turn an investment concept into a readable lesson. The email needs enough structure for a quick scan and enough depth for a reader who chooses to stay.

READER
A self-directed reader looking for explanations of investment structures, rather than individual buy or sell recommendations.

DESIGN DECISION
The opening letter establishes the question. The main edition explains a hypothetical example. A follow-up asks the reader to apply the same question elsewhere, without turning it into personalized advice.

REFERENCE PLATFORM
Salesforce — Marketing Cloud Engagement
The specification uses an audience data extension, modular email content and a Journey Builder sequence. Subscriber identity and publication permission are treated as separate fields.

This is a mapping specification, not an exported ESP configuration.

SEQUENCE
1. Publication signup: Record the requested title separately from the contact’s general profile.
2. The opening letter: Introduce the educational scope and the three-part reading format.
3. The main lesson · +3 days: Send the explanation only while this publication’s permission remains active.
4. The follow-up · +7 days: Recap the central question; prevent overlap with a scheduled edition.

AUDIENCE RULES
Identity: Use a stable contact key; an email address is a delivery field, not the only record of identity.
Entry: An active, title-specific subscription and a permitted acquisition source.
Frequency: One education message per scheduled step; defer a recurring edition if the planned sends overlap.
Exit: A withdrawal, complaint or suppression event removes eligibility for the next message.

MEASUREMENT PLAN (NO RESULTS CLAIMED)
Sequence progression: Eligible entries, successful sends and exits at each step.
Content response: Filtered unique clicks to the explanation and primary reference.
Reader friction: Opt-outs by sequence step, together with replies and corrections.

TRANSITION TO A PUBLICATION
Establish title ownership and the editorial calendar; create a publication-specific signup and web archive; preserve consent scope and suppression on any approved migration. These sample emails do not create a subscription.
