Opening Note / Interscope studio project STATUS Original in-house demonstration. No external client, live audience, platform deployment or sending results are claimed. BRIEF Make a markets email that is useful even when the reader only has a few minutes. Give it a recognizable structure without reducing financial stories to isolated numbers. READER A curious reader who follows business news but does not want a stream of trading alerts. DESIGN DECISION A sharply framed question creates a reason to read. The answer stays close to the underlying financial statement, while recurring briefing and reading-list sections give each edition a familiar rhythm. REFERENCE PLATFORM Iterable — Studio journeys The implementation plan maps a publication signup to a Studio journey, with a welcome message, a source-led sample edition and explicit exit conditions. Official reference: https://support.iterable.com/hc/en-us/articles/204780379-Product-Overview This is a mapping specification, not an exported ESP configuration. SEQUENCE 1. Permission recorded: A direct request for Opening Note, with the notice version and signup source. 2. Welcome email: Explain the format and the reader’s subscription controls. 3. First edition · +2 days: Recheck permission and suppression before the sample reading edition. 4. Recurring edition: A separate weekly schedule after the welcome sequence is complete. AUDIENCE RULES Entry: Opening Note permission is active; a usable email address is present. Exclude: Unsubscribed, complained, hard-bounced or globally suppressed records. Re-entry: One welcome sequence per active subscription; a new consent event requires an explicit resubscription rule. Personalization: Optional first name. The salutation remains complete when the value is missing. MEASUREMENT PLAN (NO RESULTS CLAIMED) Reading action: Unique, filtered source-link clicks per delivered edition. List health: Hard bounces, complaints and unsubscribe events, reviewed by acquisition source. Editorial learning: Compare questions and topics over several editions; opens alone do not establish readership. TRANSITION TO A PUBLICATION Establish title ownership and the editorial calendar; create a publication-specific signup and web archive; preserve consent scope and suppression on any approved migration. These sample emails do not create a subscription.
